Vous prévoyez un voyage en République Dominicaine,
et vous souhaitez quelques conseils?

Voici quelques informations et conseils pour votre séjour:

1) Le temp dominicain c'est une opinion:
Si on vous donne rendez-vous à 10h00, vous savez que vous pourriez avoir à attendre jusqu'à midi.
Pour cela, au moment de faire un rendez-vous, il est très utile de préciser si le temps est "temp dominicain" ou  "temp gringo ", un temps précis à la minute.

2) Sur un transport publique (guagua) ou un taxi, il y a toujours de la place pour une personne de plus:
Si vous décidez de passer par les transports publics (guagua) ou un taxi, vous devriez savoir qu'il n'y a pas de limite au nombre de passagers.
Même si vous pensez qu'il n'y a pas plus, vous verrez que le conducteur continuera d'arrêter et charger les gens. Même si il'sont d'accrocher à la porte ou sur le toit, il y a toujours de la place pour un autre passager!

3) Attention aux motoconcho (moto-taxi):

Les moyens les plus fréquemment utilisés sont les motos, mais ne sont pas utilisés de manière très différente d'une quatre roues!

Egalement dans ce cas il n'y a pas de limite au nombre de passagers ou le type de transport. 

Toujours marchander le prix d'abord, pour éviter d'arguments plus tard.

4) Paiements en "menthe":
Tous les types de bonbons sont appelés "menthe"!
Ils sont une forme de monnaie, donc si vous allez dans un "colmado" (magasin qui vend un peu de tout) ou à l'épicerie, ça peut vous arriver qu'au lieu d'avoir vos 5 pesos pour le reste, ils vous donnent le reste en bonbons.
S'y habituer, "Les menthes " sont une forme de monnaie!

5) Circulation et "musique":
Si vous êtes bloqué dans la circulation, en République Dominicaine, vous pouvez jouer le klaxon, comme et combien vous voulez!
Cela ne signifie pas que vous débloquerez le trafic, étant donné que vous ne pouvez pas entendre votre propre klaxon car tout le monde l'utilise. Mais si vous voulez essayer cette expérience, vous pouvez jouer à votre guise!

6) Les règles de la route:
Souvent ici les règles pour le mouvement dépendent de la journée et le plaisir réside dans le fait que vous les respectez comme ça vous plaît.
Les signes qui disent "pas demi-tour", par exemple, semblent avoir été fait uniquement pour la décoration. Tout comme ceux qui disent "circulation à sens unique" ou "ne pas stationner sur le trottoir."
La 175-05 clause constitutionnelle se lit comme suit: "les règles doivent être respectées si, à cette  jour la règle donné peut servir."

7) Quand une fille dit d'être âgé de 18 ans, ne la croyez pas:
Les filles dominicaines sont très attrayant et il est difficile de ne pas se heurter à un mineur.
Mais les lois sur la pédophilie existent ici aussi.
Apprenez la phrase "muestrame tu cedula" (montre-moi votre carte d'identité), et si vous l'avez vu, alors vous pouvez dormir tranquille.

8) Les Dominicains ne disposent pas des parapluies:
La République Dominicaine c'est une île des Caraïbes, où il pleut presque tous les jours. Mais vous serez surpris de savoir que la plupart des Dominicains n'utilise pas des parapluies ou des imperméables.
Certaines femmes ont un parapluie, mais l'utilise surtout pour se protéger du soleil.
Dans la capitale, Saint-Domingue, nous avons vu un vendeur de parapluies dans la rue, qui, quand il a commencé à pleuvoir, a mis sur sa tête un sac en plastique!

9) Les vendeurs qui vendent de tout:
Vous avez cherché quelque chose dans les centres commerciaux les plus chers de la ville, mais vous n'êtes pas satisfait? Pas de problème, essayez de faire un peu de shopping dans les rues.
Vous avez besoin d'un chiot, une bouteille de rhum, des cigares? Vous souffrez de problèmes rénaux et êtes à la recherche d'une nouvelle paire de reins?
Il peut paraître étrange, mais les vendeurs peuvent trouver n'importe quoi. Donnez-leur 5 minutes et vous verrez!

10) Se fue la luz! (Elle est éteinte la lumière!)
Habituez-vous, parce que dans de nombreuses régions du pays, la lumière disparaît soudainement et la panne pourrait durer des heures.
Toujours garder une lampe de poche avec vous!

11) Pot-de-vin:
Il y a des pays où le pot-de-vin ne fonctionnent pas, pour tout le reste, il y a la République Dominicaine!

Pour arriver à Las Galeras de Saint Domingue la ligne Caribe Tours, 27 de Febrero coin Leopoldo Navarro, tous les jours à 8-10 am, 2,30-4,30 pm, jusqu'à à Samana. La guagua Samana-Las Galeras  puis toutes les 15 minutes , la dernier a 6 pm.
Ou minibus directement pour Las Galeras sont situé dans calle Barahona (derrière Plaza Lama sur la Calle Duarte) à 7 et 12 heures du matin et 3 heures

                                                                 Un peu d'histoire
Saint Domingue c'est la capitale de la République Dominicaine, et a été la première colonie espagnole dans le Nouveau Monde.
La ville a une zone métropolitaine avec une population de 2,850,320 habitants. La conception originale de la ville est visible aujourd'hui dans la zone coloniale, classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
Il y a encore des bâtiments du XVIe siècle, les plus anciennes dans les Amériques, y compris les premiers bureaux administratifs et la première cathédrale du Nouveau Monde.

En 1586, le pirate anglais Francis Drake a envahi toute l'île d'Hispaniola, rasant la ville et libérant qu'après paiement d'une rançon.
En 1655, les Français ont envahi le sud-ouest de l'île, et une partie de l'île contrôlée par les Espagnols a été réduit de plus de moitié.
En 1822, les Haïtiens, sous la direction de Jean Pierre Boyer, a envahi l'île et conquis complètement.
Mais 22 ans plus tard, après de durs combats, les Dominicains ont pu regagner leur indépendance.

Vous pouvez voir 500 ans d'histoire de cette ville en 45 minutes, confortablement assis sur le petit train "Chu Chu Colonial".

TOURISTS IN SANTO DOMINGO

Are you planning a trip to the Dominican Republic, and would like some advice? Here is some information and tips for your stay in the Dominican Republic:

1) The Dominican time is an opinion. If you make an appointment at 10:00, you know you could wait until noon. For this reason, at the time to agree, it is very useful to specify if the time is "Dominican time" or time to "gringo", a time exactly to the minute.

2) On a bus (public) or a taxi, there is always room for one more person. If you decide to move around by public transportation (guagua) or a taxi, you should know that there is no limit to the number of passengers. 5) Payments in Mint: all kinds of candy are called mint! They are a form of currency, so if you go into a Colmada (shop selling a bit 'of everything) to the grocery store, instead you happen to have your 5 pesos to rest, will give you the rest in candy. 6) Traffic and "music": If you happen to block you in traffic, in the Dominican Republic, you can play the horn and as much as you want!

7) The rules of the road: often here the rules for the movement depends on the day, and the fun is that you can follow them at your leisure. The signs that say "no U-turn", for example, appear to have been made just for decoration. Just like those who say "one way" or "do not park on the sidewalk."

8) When a girl says you are 18, do not take it in word and ask the Cedula (ID card)! The Dominican girls are very attractive and it's not hard to run into a minor. 9) If you ask the color of a particular object, you will find yourself in unknown colors: Jiabao, Indio, Trigueno, Blanco Oscuro Casi Negro, No Negro, Blanco claro, Moreno, Prieto. Some of these names are almost inexplicable (what's lighter than white?).

10) The Dominicans do not have umbrellas: The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean island, where it rains almost every day. But you will be surprised to know that most Dominicans do not use umbrellas or raincoats. Some ladies have an umbrella, but use it mainly to protect themselves from the sun. In the capital, Santo Domingo, we have seen a seller of umbrellas on the street when it started raining you put a plastic bag on his head!

11) The vendors sell everything've looked for something in the most expensive malls in the city, but you're not satisfied? No problem, try shopping in the streets.
Event Venues need a puppy dog, a bottle of rum, cigars? Do you suffer from kidney problems and are looking for a new pair of kidneys? It sounds strange but the vendors can find anything, give it 5 minutes and you will see!

12) The Dominicans have long names: Usually four to five. This seems unnecessary for the typical Mr. Smith, but finally a Dominicanismo that makes sense! Not to be confused Dominicans have many nicknames. It seems impossible to remember the name of Juan Jose Sanchez de la Cruz y Duarte? Just call him "El Cuco" And 'the creative effort of giving nicknames: "El Chino" (Chinese), "El Negro" (black), "El Prieto" (true black), "El Gordo" (fat) and "El Flaco "(skinny)!
