NECKLACE MACRAME'

Here Franco(Faudelin) at work, in our gift shop at
                        Las Galeras Santa Barbara Samana

As previously promised, in this post we will show you, step by step, how to make a necklace macramé.
First you have to calculate the amount and the length of the wires needed to be able to cut.
Then you do the first lap around the stone to tighten it.
Following these basic steps, begins the real work to tie the threads, depending on the design you want to achieve.

And here is the final result!

COLLANA MACRAME'

Ecco Franco (Faudelin) all'opera, nel nostro gift shop a

NEVER SAY "IMPOSSIBLE"

These are our home and our gift shop.
In Las Galeras time passes slowly and sometimes it's nice and also helpful, spend a few hours sitting in front of our store to look at who and what goes.
I said also useful, because it can help to know the local mores.

Looking at the video below, you will understand that in the Dominican Republic,
 everything is possible!

..... and if everything is possible, even the vision of this artist, becomes real!

RECYCLED IRON SCULPYURES

                                  RECYCLED IRON SCULPTURES

They are formed by metallic barrels, which are used for the transport of oil.
Are recycled and processed by hand.

Before both ends are removed circular.

They are then burned in a large fire, to remove paint or other.

When they cool, they are cut from top to bottom to be open.
At this point, the artist enters the frame and with the weight of his body and strength of legs and arms, opens it.
It is then pounded to flatten it.

Now begins the real work of art:

Designed plate with a piece of chalk, it will be then processed with a hammer, chisels and other primitive tools.

In this way the shape
is cut and then finished creating the sculptures are truly unique.

These are some of the magnificent wrought iron recycling that you can find in our shop
