NECKLACE MACRAME'
Here Franco(Faudelin) at work, in our gift shop at
Las Galeras Santa Barbara Samana
As previously promised, in this post we will show you, step by step, how to make a necklace macramé.
First you have to calculate the amount and the length of the wires needed to be able to cut.
Then you do the first lap around the stone to tighten it.
Following these basic steps, begins the real work to tie the threads, depending on the design you want to achieve.

And here is the final result!

MACRAME'
When talking about macramé, we immediately think in lace, the thin fringe of antique linen towels, white tablecloths to old grandmothers, but is not quite correct!
The art of macramé has Arabic origins.
It 'a technique in which, a series of wires are knotted to achieve geometric designs, but can be used different types of wires or ropes.
The Macramè was exported worldwide by sailors, who are traveling from one continent to another, during long crossings, deceiving time creating coarse canvases for various uses, belts and other objects, with any type of thread orropes had to provision, which then used as trade goods.
Now we are creating earrings, bracelets and necklaces, knotting meticulously wire diameter of 1 mm and collaring stones of larimar, amber, black coral, and even pieces of shells.

Coming soon we will show you, step by step, the development of a necklace.
