TOUR DEL SUFRIMIENTO (TOUR OF SUFFERING)

This year the 24, 25 and 26 January, will take place

the "TOUR sufrimiento"

It is a three-day mountain biking, 270 km (170 miles), starting from

 JARABACOA,

 CONSTANZA, 

VALLE NUEVO,

 SAN JOSE' DE OCOA, 

per arrivare a 

 SANTO DOMINGO.

The "TOUR DEL SUFRIMIENTO", 

is a sporting event for mountain bikers, who can tackle the "suffering"!

Participants will ride about 8 hours a day, rising from 500 meters above sea level, of JARABACOA, up to over 2000 VALLE NUEVO and 8 \ 10 degrees Celsius to 35 of the tropical climate of the capital SANTO DOMINGO

JARABACOA

It stands on a plateau, about 500 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Cordillera Central, where we also find the Pico Duarte, 10,000 feet tall, the tallest mountain in the Caribbean.

It 'also a thriving center of eco-tourism, with beautiful waterfalls and the most important river in the Dominican Republic the Yaque del Norte, much appreciated by those who practice rafting and canoeing.

CONSTANZA

Also located in the Cordillera Central, is located about 1,100 meters above sea level and is the highest town in the Dominican Rep..

It has the most important nature reserves of water in the country: New Valle Verde and Ebony, which contribute to the biodiversity of the island of Hispaniola, where we can meet variety of unique plants in the world.

VALLE NUEVO

Located in the Park Nacional Juan Bautista Pérez Rancier, reaches about 2,500 meters.

Considering the southeast end of the Cordillera Central, with its highest peaks to the east, 30 kilometers from the Caribbean Sea.

SAN JOSE 'DE OCOA

Altitude about 500 meters above sea level.
